The Glenturret 12 Year Old 2023 Release

Established in 1763, The Glenturret is Scotland’s Oldest Working Distillery with more than 250 years of whisky making heritage, The Glenturret range of exclusive single malts is hand-crafted by Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno and presented in a beautiful bottle designed by Lalique.

Each year the Highland distillery The Glenturret selects fewer than sixty casks to create the single malt that becomes its annual release for The Glenturret 12 Year Old. For the 2023 Release, American oak casks drive the salted caramel sweetness whilst European oak layers the dried fruits and spices leading to a full rich single malt at 46.4% ABV.

The Glenturret 12 Year Old opens with a delicate balance of heather and subtle hints of vanilla. The aroma is further enriched with a fruitiness of orchard blooms, offering a gentle invitation to the first sip.

Palate

The palate is where this whisky truly asserts its character. Each sip brings forth a luxurious cascade of flavors – from the initial notes of honey and caramel, sweet and comforting, to the deeper, more complex layers of spiced oak and dried fruits. There's a touch of nuttiness, reminiscent of almonds and hazelnuts, adding depth to the profile.

Finish

The finish is as elegant as it is enduring. A smooth, lingering warmth envelops the mouth, leaving behind a subtle silkiness and the satisfying richness of matured malt.
